June has seen the relaunch of a recognised ‘high street’ offer but once again, is this deal as good as it first seems?

One of James’s lessons came in to see him and ask if he could get somewhere near the offer he had been given by a local well known ‘shop in driving range’ as he was thinking of changing his irons. The offer is outlined below:

He had been told his old irons were valued at £90 and this would be doubled to £180 if he were to choose a new set. James valued the customers part exchange using our normal valuation process and his irons were actually worth £140, so if that were to be ‘doubled’ as advertised he should have been offered £280.

So at the moment he is only £40 better off.  We then priced up the new irons the customer was looking at, our shelf price was the same as had been quoted but our members price reduced the deal by a further £5.00 per club, with 4-PW required the saving was an extra £40.00 so the bottom line price we offered including the trade-in was identical to the supposed “double trade-in” offer.

Have you ever wondered how physically fit you are for golf? Want to prevent injury and extend your playing time? Why not have a TPI Screening test at Parkstone with certified TPI instructor Tom Green. Tom completed his TPI training in the summer of 2017 and has been using it in his coaching to help his students understand more about their golf swing. 

What is TPI?

TPI is the world’s leading educational organization dedicated to the study of how the human body functions in relation to the golf swing.

Since its inception in 2003, TPI has studied thousands of golfers ranging from the top professional Tour players such as Rory Mcilroy, Justin Rose and Dustin Johnson as well as weekend enthusiasts. An incredible amount of data on players of all shapes, sizes, ages, and fitness levels has been gathered during this time. Using this data, TPI discovered how a properly functioning body allows a player to swing a golf club in the most efficient way possible. Additionally, TPI has analyzed how physical limitations in a player’s body can adversely affect the golf swing and potentially lead to injury.

The Screening Process

The process consists of 16 simple screens that can be done on the driving range with little or no equipment. For example, did you know that if you are someone who struggles to touch your toes, that there is a good chance that you may experience certain swing faults such as loss of posture and early extension. The TPI screening process identifies the key areas that are vital to allow golfers to produce an efficient and repeatable golf swing.
